Passing of John Pinkiewicz Sunday, 3 July, 2011
We are planning a lunch and informal memorial service (hoist a beer or two) for Pinky. We will determine the new Chapter Leader at that time. We haven't been too active because of the lack of Ferry service to/from Whidbey and Pt Townsend. The State just commissioned a new Ferry for the route so things should stabilize a bit and we should have more Master Blaster gatherings. Clarke George informed me yesterday that Milo Benson crossed the bar last month. He is sending me the particulars and I will forward the info to you. Milo was one of the "older" 0ld-timers.

Rita just called and asked me to put the word out that she's having a memorial get together/pot luck at the American Legion in Oak Harbor at 1300 on 16 July. Please get the word out and hope to see you all there. If anyone needs directions to the American Legion just let me know.
